Columbus Avenue Street Festival 2011

We have just got back from the Columbus Avenue Street Festival which runs from 66th to 86th Street.  Columbus Avenue has been closed to traffic and the street is full of various food vendors and stalls selling a wide array of goods.

There are lots of different foods to try and many of the restaurants have either extended onto the street or are selling food outside to take-away.  There was a great live band playing outside the bar/restaurant 'Prohibition' which is between 84th and 85th Street and many other places have DJ's playing music.

It's all going on right now, so if you are sat at home and don't know what to do for the rest of Sunday head over to the Upper West Side and enjoy the street festival!

  1. I've just come across your blog and its great to hear about all the things that go on in New York. I was wondering why you don't put photos up with some of your posts? It would be lovely to see some of the things ur blogging about.

  2. Hi! Thank you so much for taking the time to have a look at my blog and I appreciate your feedback about including photographs.

I have included the odd photograph the past, but tended to avoid it as I'm not a great photographer!

However, I do think you are right and I will try and post more pictures in the future. Practice makes perfect!
